Love you Grandpa

It's really hard to say this but my grandpa Keachie passed away this past Wednesday. He was a good man who taught us excellent work ethic, love for family and a rich Scottish heritage. If you would let him, he would talk your ear off about pretty much any subject that interested him or got him fired up which probably included just about everything. Some of his hobbies included making belts and wallets out of leather, bagpiping, and building and flying model airplanes. I was always amazed at his energy, he could not sit still for long. It was especially endearing to see how he opened up to his great grandchildren (Ian, Lily and Kaison) over this past year. Grandpa, we love you and will miss you a ton. We can't wait to see you again on the other side.

Ok, so I decided to try out Lily's high chair this morning. She doesn't sit up by herself just yet but the chair helped her to stay balanced. You be the judge.........I personally think she did a fantastic job!!! She is seriously the cutest kid, I don't know what I did with all my time before she came to us. She is such a blast!

A TOOTH!!!

I have been meaning to put this on the blog for a week now.........Lily got her first tooth at five months old! Mat was letting her chew on his finger last Saturday night and all of a sudden he was like "OUCH!!!" We started looking and sure enough on the bottom left, there is a peek of a tooth coming in. She is growing up so fast, it's not fair! But all that really matters is she is healthy and happy so it's all good. Yay Silly Lue!!!

Newest member of the Lassig family

Here is the newest member of Jennie and Kevin's family. His name is Lucas Oliver Lassig and he is super cute. We have not met in person yet but both Mat and I are looking forward to that pleasure really soon. I must say I love the name as it has been my favorite boy name since I was in grade school. Congratulations Jennie and Kevin!!!
